Duff & Phelps hire Miesel and Kapoor
Duff & Phelps has announced that Victor Miesel and Vinay Kapoor have joined the firm’s Transfer Pricing practice and will be based in the New York office.
Mr. Miesel brings more than 15 years of experience in transfer pricing economics and valuation services to Duff & Phelps’ global transfer pricing team. He joins Duff & Phelps as a Managing Director. Mr. Miesel has significant experience in providing economic planning, cost-sharing structuring, economic and financial analysis, and Sections 482/6662/OECD documentation for international firms in the financial services, insurance, hedge funds, consumer products and high technology industries. Mr. Miesel is a frequent speaker at seminars and conferences on the subject of transfer pricing and taxation, and his work on the topic has been published in numerous journals and periodicals. He is included in Euromoney’s 2005 "Guide to the World’s Leading Transfer Pricing Advisers" and is a member of the Transfer Pricing Tax Specialty Subcommittee of the American Bar Association, as well as the European-American Tax Institute. Mr. Miesel has led practices both in the United States and in Europe for AT Kearney and NERA, and has broad experience with European multinationals and European transfer pricing issues.
Dr. Kapoor, formerly Senior Vice President and National Leader of the Transfer Pricing Practice at an international investment bank, has also joined the firm. Dr. Kapoor has more than 12 years of experience providing transfer pricing and other quantitative consulting services to corporations ranging from the Fortune 100 to closely held companies. He was also part of Ernst & Young’s transfer pricing practice and has been involved in transfer pricing and intangible valuation studies across a broad array of industries including financial services, consumer products, life sciences, electronics, engineering, retail and automotive.
