Lindsay Millar joins Maxwell Batley in Property & Construction team
Lindsay Millar has left Shoosmith’s, where she was the sole tax partner, and joined the property & construction group of Maxwell Batley.
Lindsay graduated from Wadham College, Oxford in 1983 with a BA honours degree and was admitted as a solicitor in 1988. She obtained an LLM in taxation law from Queen Mary College, London in 1994. She was formerly national head of tax at Shoosmiths and worked previously at Clifford Chance and Slaughter and May. She specialises in the following areas:
The taxation of commercial property transactions, including VAT and SDLT planning and advising on Capital Allowances.
The tax aspects of UK and cross-border corporate acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures, demergers, management buy-outs and buy-ins, and group reconstructions.
Advising on and implementing employee incentive schemes, the tax aspects of international secondments and compromise agreements.
