New FD at Tate & Lyle
Tate & Lyle PLC has announced that Simon Gifford will retire as Group Finance Director and from the Board of Tate & Lyle PLC on 19 July 2006. Simon has worked for Tate & Lyle since 1969 and has served on the Board and as Group Finance Director since January 1996. To ensure a smooth handover to his successor, Simon will remain with the Company until 1 October 2006, his contractual retirement date.
John Nicholas, 49, formerly Group Finance Director of Kidde Plc, will join the Company on 1 June 2006 and has been appointed Group Finance Director and a member of the Board of Tate & Lyle PLC from the close of the Annual General Meeting on 19 July 2006.
