Braverman gets top tax job at Moody’s

Moody’s Corporation (NYSE: MCO)has announced that Philip Braverman has joined the corporation as Vice President – Global Tax. Mr. Braverman will have overall responsibility for leading the global tax department, providing strategic guidance on tax implications of ongoing and future business activities as well as day-to-day planning and tax compliance matters.

Mr. Braverman has over 22 years of domestic and international experience in a variety of tax roles. Most recently, he served as Vice President and Senior Tax Counsel at Bristol-Myers Squibb Company, where he was the chief tax lawyer for the company responsible for worldwide tax planning and tax legal activities. Prior to joining Bristol-Myers Squibb, he held a number of tax positions at CPC International Inc. /Bestfoods and worked at the law firms of Proskauer Rose Goetz & Mendelsohn and Hughes Hubbard & Reed.

Mr. Braverman received his BA degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton and his JD degree from Fordham University School of Law.
