Richard Smith joins Sibson Consulting

Daniel G. Fries, Senior Vice President and Market Director of Sibson Consulting, a Division of Segal, has announced that Richard (Rick) V. Smith joined Sibson as a Senior Vice President and Executive Compensation Consultant in the firm’s Organizational Effectiveness Practice. Mr. Smith has special expertise on executive and broad based compensation issues.

Mr. Smith has 20 years experience in executive compensation and benefits consulting working in a wide variety of industries with both public and private companies. Most recently, he was Director and Executive Compensation Practice Leader for McDermott Will & Emery, LLP in New York. Mr. Smith has also served as director of the executive compensation advisory practice at KPMG, as executive compensation practice leader for the Hay Group and as a Principal and consultant for Mercer. He holds a B.A. from the University of Arizona and has done graduate work at Babson College (Wellesley, MA). Mr. Smith is working out of the New York office.

Sibson Consulting, the Strategic HR Consulting Division of Segal, consults on the planning, design, qualification, implementation, operation and communication of total rewards, compensation, retirement and health benefits programs.
