Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney hires 3 new tax attorneys

In Buchanan Ingersoll, Tax Attorney, Tax Shareholder

Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC has announced that three attorneys concentrating in federal income tax matters have joined the firm in its Washington, D.C., office. The addition of shareholder Janine H. Bosley immediately follows that of Joan L. Rood and Annemarie G. McGavin, who joined the firm in January as counsel and senior attorney, respectively.

Bosley, who previously served as chair of law firm Ice Miller’s D.C. office, and McGavin, who served as liaison for clients to the Department of Labor, Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation and the Internal Revenue Service, both focus primarily on employee benefit and ERISA law. Rood, who spent 13 years within KPMG’s National Tax Practice, focuses primarily on developing complex tax strategies.

“The addition of these three prominent D.C. tax attorneys demonstrates Buchanan’s commitment to maintaining and strengthening its national tax practice in all key areas,” states John Warner, co-managing shareholder of the firm’s D.C. office and co-chair of the firm’s Tax Section. With more than 50 attorneys, Buchanan’s Tax Section is one of the largest among national law firms.
