DLA Piper appoints tax specialist Patrice Marceau as partner in HK

DLA Piper has announced the appointment of tax law specialist, Patrice Marceau, who joins the Hong Kong office as partner. Patrice, who has extensive experience advising corporations and high net worth individuals, will strengthen the corporate group and play a key role in spearheading the tax advisory team.

Patrice is a Canadian-qualified lawyer who has been based in Hong Kong since 1996. He advises on local, regional and international tax issues for corporations and banks and represents clients on tax litigation matters. Patrice also provides high net worth individuals with tax planning advice, including estate matters and establishing and advising on trusts for tax planning purposes.

Earlier in his career, whilst in Canada, Patrice advised on local and international tax issues related to commercial and corporate transactions. He represented clients involved in tax disputes with Canadian tax authorities and also worked in the Tax Court of Canada.

Patrice graduated from the University of Ottawa and is a member of the Quebec Bar. He speaks fluent French and English.
