Neil Pearson promoted at Wragge & Co

Wragge & Co LLP has appointed two partners, adding high-calibre senior expertise to two core practice areas. Pensions specialist Paul Feathers and tax expert Neil Pearson will become the firm’s newest partners. They take up their new roles from 1 May.

Neil joined Wragge & Co in 2000 and has spent the past seven years developing his reputation as a tax expert. He is highly regarded as a leading employee benefits lawyer, acting for clients including 3i Group plc, Interserve plc and Homeserve plc. He is also one of the UK’s foremost advisers to venture capital trusts, and his expertise in this area is integral to the firm’s private equity practice. He played a key role in winning a place on ISIS Equity Partners’ panel of preferred advisers. Neil is the firm’s third tax partner.

Partners Stephen Braithwaite, Kevin Barrett and Maria Collingridge will retire from the partnership at the end of the financial year. As of 1 May, the total number of Wragge & Co partners will be 109.
