Schiff Hardin taps Robert Muething from Hunton & Williams

Schiff Hardin LLP has added Robert J. Muething as a partner in the Tax Group in the Atlanta office. Mr. Muething joins the firm from Hunton & Williams LLP (Atlanta), where he was a partner.

Mr. Muething focuses on federal income taxation matters. He has extensive experience in planning, structuring, negotiating, and documenting transactions, including corporate merger and acquisition, joint venture and partnership, real estate, and structured finance transactions. He also has significant experience in tax controversy matters, including IRS Appeals Office work, and tax litigation.

Mr. Muething received his undergraduate degree (A.B., 1979) from Harvard University and his law degree (J.D., 1982) from the University of Notre Dame Law School. He is admitted to practice in Georgia.
