Linklaters promotes 3 to Tax Counsel
Linklaters has promoted 29 managing associates and two managing PSLs to Counsel status with effect from 1 May 2007. Of these, 3 are tax specialists:
Patrick Dewerbe – tax, Lisbon
Valerie Leipheimer – tax, London (US practice)
Stephen Pevsner – tax, London
The position of Counsel, which has been in place for a number of years in certain parts of the firm under different names, has been enhanced and harmonised on a global basis. The new status provides a consistent approach across the firm to recognising, rewarding and retaining those managing associates and other senior lawyers who have significant technical expertise and take on additional practice, client, know-how or team management responsibilities, alongside the partners in their practice. With the new and existing appointments, Linklaters will have around 100 Counsel globally.
