Hogan & Hartson Continues Expansion of Paris Office With Leading Tax Partner
Hogan & Hartson LLP has announced that James Vaudoyer will join its Paris office as a partner in the firm’s tax practice group. Vaudoyer, who has extensive experience in French and cross-border tax matters, will form an integral part of the tax practice in the Paris office.
Vaudoyer focuses his practice on the taxation of French and multinational corporations, particularly in the area of mergers and acquisitions, and the structuring of property acquisitions and developments projects. In addition, he has substantial experience advising on real estate and corporate investments by hedge funds.
Vaudoyer joins Hogan & Hartson from the Paris office of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, where he was a member of the tax and real estate practice areas, and served as the managing partner of the Paris office of Freshfields from 1997 to 2000. Prior to joining Freshfields in 1988, Vaudoyer worked for eight years as a tax lawyer in major tax and law firms in Paris.
Vaudoyer studied law at the University of Paris, where he obtained a masters degree in business law and a post-graduate degree in business and tax law.
