Grant Thornton gets 100% pass rate at CTA exams
Leading business and financial adviser Grant Thornton has announced that for the second time in succession, its first-time sitters of the prestigious Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) have achieved a 100% pass rate, involving some 26 students in total.
Rob Withecombe, Head of Tax at Grant Thornton said, “These outstanding results are produced by a knowledgeable and dedicated group which reflects the quality of the whole tax team. I believe our recent success is not only down to the hard work put in by all concerned but the key strategic changes we’ve made to our tax training & development programme in recent times.”
“We have made some deliberate changes to improve and refine our professional training programme over the past few years. We run residential courses at our dedicated training centre, Bradenham manor in Buckinghamshire and offer a series of internal modules depending on the area of tax students work in. The internal modules are designed to complement the professional training offered to students by showing them how to apply the principles they learn in the classroom to their everyday jobs,” Withecombe explained.
All professional training is delivered by FTC Kaplan. Each module includes embedded link exams sat in exam conditions that allow students to gauge their readiness to sit the final exam. Grant Thornton works very closely with FTC Kaplan to monitor student progress and continually reviews its training offering to ensure every student has the best possible chance of passing first time.
