Yash Rupal is new Global Head of Tax at Linklaters
Linklaters has appointed Yash Rupal as its new global head of tax.
Yash, a partner at Linklaters since 1996, is recognised as one of the UK’s leading tax lawyers. Yash will lead a global team of around 170 lawyers advising on a broad range of tax issues including M&A and corporate finance transactions, corporate restructurings, financial instruments, real estate transactions, investment funds and contentious tax matters across a range of jurisdictions.
Yash takes over as global head of tax from Guy Brannan, who, having completed two terms of office in the role, is now standing down. Guy, also one of the UK’s leading tax lawyers, will continue to be engaged in full-time client work.
Simon Davies, Linklaters firmwide managing partner elect, said:
“I’m pleased to welcome Yash into his new role. Yash’s focus on clients and people makes him ideally placed to build on our reputation as the firm of choice for tax advice. Yash has enjoyed enormous success in building our tax based finance practice in recent years and we are looking at replicating that success across a broader range of products including M&A and corporate finance transactions on a global basis.”
