Moore Colson promotes estate planner, Alex Kahn
Atlanta based accounting firm, Moore Colson, recently announced the admission of Alex Kahn as partner of its estate and financial strategies practice. Moore Colson, founded in 1981, is a full-service firm located in Atlanta, Georgia, providing tax and assurance services, real estate, management consulting services, estate and financial services, and IT audit services.
Alex develops estate and financial strategies for high net worth individuals and works closely with individual clients and corporate executives, to review their financial and estate situation. Alex helps clients to define a clear vision for their financial future by implementing their goals, using tax-efficient vehicles that allow for maximum wealth preservation while minimizing external risks.
Prior to joining Moore Colson in 2004, Alex had his own law practice where he provided estate-planning and business consultation, including advice on sophisticated tax-efficient wealth transfer strategies such as family limited partnerships, trusts and corporations. Alex coordinated compatibility of employee benefit plans, insurance and property titling with estate plans. Alex was also an Account Manager with The Ayco Company, L.P. – A Goldman Sachs Company, where he provided personal financial counseling. Alex reviewed, designed and oversaw implementation of tax-effective wealth transfer strategies, using techniques including; Grantor Retained Annuity Trusts, Family Limited Partnerships, Generations Skipping Trusts, and Charitable Foundations.
Alex is involved in several professional organizations and is a member of the State Bar of New York, State Bar of Georgia, and the Atlanta Bar Association. Alex received his B.S. Degree from Quinnipiac College of Law, Hamden CT (Juris Doctor 1998), and Arizona State University, (Bachelor of Arts in Political Science 1994).
