Paul Harris joins Smith & Williamson as Private Client Tax Director
Smith & Williamson, the accountancy and financial services group, has announced the appointment of Paul Harris, as a private client tax director at its Salisbury office.
Paul specialises in tax for private clients, focusing particularly on financial aspects of running landed estates. He has over 20 years’ experience as a tax adviser in the tax world.
Paul said: “I’m delighted to have joined the team at Smith & Williamson’s Salisbury office, which in my opinion is the premier landed estate and private client tax services team in south England. I’m really looking forward to working with like-minded directors and exciting clients in the region and across the country.”

Susan Shaw, head of Smith & Williamson’s Salisbury office, said: “Paul has built up considerable experience within his sector and we are delighted to have him on board. Paul has spent the last two years running the private client tax services group at BDO’s Southampton office and prior to that he worked for ten years with the equivalent group at PwC’s Reading office.
He has lived in the Winchester area for the past 20 years and is particularly interested in Victorian architecture and enjoys cycling and playing the bass guitar.
