Dr Thomas Fox joins Lathams in Munich

Latham & Watkins has announced that Dr. Thomas Fox will join the firm’s Munich office as a partner in the Tax Department. Fox’s practice focuses on all tax aspects of M&A and private equity transactions, fund formation, REITs and reorganizations.Fox has extensive experience advising mid-sized German businesses and large multinational corporations on a wide range of tax-related restructurings and mergers and acquisitions. His career includes work in Germany and Italy and both as a private practice tax lawyer and co-founder and CEO of a mobile commerce company serving the media and advertising sector.

Fox joins Latham & Watkins from Shearman & Sterling LLP. Fox studied at the University f Munich and the University of Bayreauth, completing his doctoral thesis in 1995. Fox will join Latham & Watkins’ global tax practice, which in Europe is led by a team of 10 partners and counsels.
