Glaxo TP Consultant, Dr Michael Cragg, joins The Brattle Group
The Brattle Group, a provider of consulting and expert testimony in economics, finance, and regulation, has announced that Michael I. Cragg has joined the firm as a principal.
Dr. Michael Cragg joins the firm’s finance practice in the Cambridge, MA office. He has
extensive consulting, research, and expert witness experience in corporate finance, financial services, antitrust, and valuation, and has testified in state and federal courts as well as in regulatory proceedings around the country. His expertise includes consulting on financial and risk management matters with a focus on leading teams in complex litigation.
He has assisted corporations, the U.S. Department of Justice, and the Internal Revenue Service in developing economic and financial testimony in a variety of finance and tax litigation. Dr. Cragg recently played a central role in the Long Term Capital Management litigation and the Glaxo transfer pricing dispute.
Prior to joining The Brattle Group, Dr. Cragg was a founding partner of Cambridge Finance Partners, LLC where he served as a consultant and expert witness on litigation cases in the financial services, pharmaceutical, electric, gas, and high-tech industries. He was also formerly a partner at Bates White and a vice president at Analysis Group.
Dr. Cragg began his career as a professor of economics at Columbia University and UCLA’s Andersen School of Management. His research has been sponsored by a range of institutions and foundations including the NSF and NIH. He holds a Ph.D. in finance and economics from Stanford University, an M.A. from the University of British Columbia, and a B.S.E. from Princeton University.
