Deloitte lures Stephen Cahill from Mercer to join global employer services practice as a partner
Deloitte has appointed Stephen Cahill as a partner in its global employer services practice specialising in executive remuneration consulting. He joins Deloitte from Mercer. Stephen’s new role will be to work alongside remuneration partner Carol Arrowsmith in the executive remuneration team.
Andy Hodge, head of global employer services at Deloitte, commented: “We are delighted that Stephen has joined us. It is a tremendously challenging environment for businesses, particularly regarding executive remuneration which has received significant interest recently. Stephen’s extensive expertise advising a number of blue chip organisations and remuneration committees both in the UK, Europe and in the US, combined with Carol Arrowsmith’s experience, will undoubtedly create a formidable partnership as we seek to build upon our market-leading executive remuneration practice.”
Stephen Cahill, partner at Deloitte, said: “Businesses are currently facing an unprecedented series of significant challenges, including that of rewarding executives in an economic downturn. We have entered an era of huge shareholder and regulatory pressure on business management and directors who are working harder than ever to keep their ship afloat. It is essential, especially in the current climate, that they have the right strategy, with supporting executive remuneration practices in place, to survive the impending recession.”
