Patriot Coal has announced that Jacquelyn A. Jones has been named Vice President of Contract Management, reporting to Michael V. Altrudo, Senior Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer.In her new role, Jones’ primary responsibility will be management of the Company’s coal supply agreements. Promotion of Jones to this new role signals increased focus on the Company’s revenue base, with particular emphasis on capturing the increased costs as a result of the rapidly changing regulatory environment.
Jones will be leading a department including
Carol A. Damba, Director of Contract Administration,
Mark Anthony Rodriguez, Manager of Contract Administration, and
Robert Hruby, Senior Analyst – Contract Administration, and will be working closely with Patriot’s sales, operations and legal departments.Jones led the Company’s tax department since Patriot’s inception
October 31, 2007, most recently as Vice President – Tax. She has more than 8 years of coal experience, primarily in tax and project management roles. In 2008, in addition to her tax responsibilities, Jones led the integration of Magnum into the Patriot organization. Prior to joining Patriot, Jones was Director of Tax Planning and Audits for Peabody Energy Corporation. She has also previously served as Tax Counsel for GenAmerica Corporation and has held various tax positions at Ernst & Young LLP. Jones is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Juris Doctorate from the
University of Missouri – Columbia and an LLM (Master of Laws) in Taxation from
Washington University.
