Lovells tax partner, Christoph Kueppers, promoted to Regional Managing Partner for Continental Europe
Lovells has appointed Dusseldorf partner Christoph Kueppers as regional managing partner for Continental Europe. Kueppers takes up his post with immediate effect. His term of office is for three years.
Christoph heads the tax team in Germany, having joined Lovells in 2001 from accounting firm KPMG where he was a partner. He is a Certified Tax Advisor and Certified Public Accountant as well as a qualified lawyer. He is an insurance specialist, focusing on the consolidation and reorganisation of German and European insurance groups. He also advises private equity houses on investments in Germany and a broad range of clients including listed companies around the world on the tax aspects of structural changes to company pension schemes.
The firm’s Continental Europe region covers 14 offices ranging from Moscow in the east to Madrid in the west. The region represents around 40% of the firm’s billings. Christoph’s appointment follows a period of consultation with partners across the region and recommendation to the partnership by Lovells managing partner David Harris. Christoph replaces Harald Seisler, who stood down from the role in November 2008.
Commenting on Christoph’s appointment, Lovells managing partner David Harris says:
“I am very pleased that Christoph is joining the management team. He will bring a fresh approach to the region and a client-focused, business-driving, emphasis.”
Christoph Kueppers says:
“Over the past four years we have made significant investments across the region, rounding-out practice areas to ensure we are capable of delivering the high quality service that our clients expect. The next step is to continue raising our market presence and reinforcing our client development across the region.”
