Transactional Tax Partner Jordi Dominguez Joins Latham & Watkins in Spain from Garrigues
Latham & Watkins LLP1 has announced that Jordi Dominguez has joined the firm’s Spanish practice as a partner in the Tax Department. Dominguez has deep expertise advising on complex tax planning and structuring matters on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, restructuring transactions and insolvency proceedings.Dominguez advises global and Spanish companies, private equity firms and financial institutions on their inbound and outbound investments. He also has extensive experience advising companies on certain tax aspects of their investment programs in Latin America. Dominguez has advised numerous multinational corporations and large European and global financial institutions on the tax structuring components of some of the largest and most high profile M&A transactions in the market.

Dominguez joins Latham & Watkins from Garrigues, the leading tax practice in Spain. From 2005 to 2007, he was based in Garrigues’ New York office and served as the co-head of the firm’s US/Spain tax practice. Dominguez received his law degree from the University of Barcelona in 1993 and a business degree from the ESADE Business School in Barcelona in 1994.
