Ogier appoints former Goldman Sachs lawyer as Head of Private Wealth business

[private]Ogier, one of the leading providers of offshore legal and fiduciary services, has appointed Ian Cain as Director and Head of Ogier Private Wealth. Ian joins Ogier from Goldman Sachs where he was Head of UK Strategic Wealth Advisory.

Ian will lead the continued development of Ogier Private Wealth, promoting a wide range of legal, fiduciary and administration services across Ogier’s businesses and markets. His appointment represents a significant milestone for the firm’s Private Wealth Service.

Prior to Goldman Sachs, Ian was a tax partner and head of Family Business at Boodle Hatfield, before which he led Evershed’s domestic private tax service.

Ogier Private Wealth was launched in 2008 to provide a wide range of wealth management solutions to Ultra High Net Worth Individuals and Family Businesses. Services include the establishment and ongoing administration of trusts and private trust companies, the creation and administration of employer-funded structures, real estate advice and the formation and administration of investment funds, particularly in the area of private funds. The team comprises over 20 lawyers and 50 professional administrators across Ogier’s eleven offices, a network that serves all time zones and major financial centres.
