Tenon’s Andrew Hubbard is appointed President of the Chartered Institute of Taxation

[private] Tenon Group, a top ten accountancy firm specialising in advising entrepreneurs, is pleased to announce that one of its directors, Andrew Hubbard, has been appointed National President of the Chartered Institute of Taxation.

The appointment, effective from 12 May 2009, will last for one year and during this time Andrew will split his time between his role at Tenon and his presidency. Tenon has always been supportive of Andrew’s involvement with the CIOT, the UK’s leading body for tax professionals, and values his commitment to the issues affecting the profession.

Andrew Jupp, Head of Tax at Tenon Group, said:

These next 12 months will be challenging for the Institute but Andrew will be able to use the wealth of knowledge he has gained at Tenon as Tax Policy Director to guide the CIOT and its members in this consistently changing economic environment..”

Andrew, National Tax Policy Director joined Tenon in 2001 and has long been an active member of the CIOT sitting on the Institute’s Council and chairing the East Midlands branch.

At Tenon, Andrew is responsible for all aspects of the tax technical work of the Tenon Group, including knowledge management and quality standards. He is advisor to the Board on tax matters. Andrew started his career in 1985 HM Inland Revenue as an Inspector of Taxes. He is well known as a lecturer and commentator on tax matters and in 2005 won the Lexis Nexis Tax writer of the year award. [/private]
