Former Deloitte partner, Jeffry Seidel, leads NY Tax Practice for RSM McGladrey

Prior to joining McGladrey, Seidel held several leadership positions with Deloitte & Touche LLP. After becoming a partner at Deloitte in 1988, he went on to serve as Deputy Regional Managing Partner for the Big Four firm’s Northeast Tax Practice. As a member of the Northeast Region Management Committee, Seidel was also the Partner in Charge of both the New York City Tax Practice and Deloitte’s Tax Management Advisory Services business.
At Deloitte, Seidel spent a number of years with the firm’s financial services tax practice, giving him an excellent appreciation of McGladrey’s own industry-leading financial services practice. With the Big Four firm, he provided services to a range of clients — from entrepreneurs to Fortune 1000 companies — and created new lines of business, including tax outsourcing and asset securitization services.

Seidel holds an M.B.A. in business administration and accounting from Fordham University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin.
After more than 40 years in the profession, the former leader of the New York Tax Practice, Jerry Lerman, will transition his leadership responsibilities to Seidel in the coming months and then continue to work directly serving clients.
