[private]Mr. Ingemar Hansson has been appointed as new Director General for the Swedish Tax Agency.

Mr. Hansson’s previous position was State Secretary for Tax Issues at the Ministry of Finance. He has been Director General at the National Institute of Economic Research between 1999-2006. He has worked at the Ministry of Finance between 1992-1999 as Director General and Head of the Economic Affairs Division and Deputy Director General and Head of the Division for Tax Economics. Mr. Hansson became professor in Economics at the University of Lund in 1988. He has also been a secretary of the Ministry of Finance inquiry into reformed income taxation and an expert in committees.
