Weaver confirms leadership team

Weaver, the largest regional independent certified public accounting firm in the Southwest, recently confirmed the appointment of several partners as industry practice leaders including tax partner Mark D Walker as head of Manufacturing, Distribution and Retail.

Mark, CPA and tax partner, continues to serve as the leader of the firm’s Manufacturing, Distribution and Retail practice. He has more than 26 years of experience assisting clients in the manufacturing/distribution sectors. For the last several years, Walker has successfully maintained Weaver’s Manufacturing Advisory Board, comprised of clients and industry professionals. In addition, he led the firm’s first manufacturing-specific continuing professional education (CPE) event for clients and firm contacts, which has grown into an annual event for clients across all industries. Walker is a member of the AICPA, where he chairs the Large Firm Networking Group based in New York and serves on the statewide advisory board for Bank of Texas. He is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting.
