Former AOL Head of Tax joins Altegrity as VP Global Tax
Altegrity, Inc., a leading provider of information solutions to its clients around the world, today named Scott Cockrell as vice president, global tax. Mr. Cockrell will oversee the company’s global tax function including all tax planning, compliance and accounting requirements. He will be based in New York and report to Jeff Campbell, senior vice president and chief financial officer.
“Scott has tremendous experience in the tax accounting arena and will provide exceptional value across the company in this newly established leadership position,” said Mr. Campbell. “It reflects the significant growth and geographic expansion of Altegrity as a result of the Kroll acquisition in August of last year.”
Most recently, Mr. Cockrell served as the vice president and global director of tax at AOL Inc., a global web services business with approximately $3 billion in revenues. In this role, he directed the company’s worldwide tax function including managing the key tax matters related to AOL’s spin-off from Time Warner, Inc.
His previous experience includes tax leadership roles at American International Group, Inc., Citigroup Inc., Ernst & Young and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Mr. Cockrell is a certified public accountant and completed his undergraduate work at Norwich University in Northfield, Vermont.
