Grant Thornton Tax Partner joins Bober Markey Fedorovich
Bober Markey Fedorovich (BMF) http://www.bobermarkey.com, a regional accounting, tax and business advisory firm with offices in Akron and Cleveland, has expanded its tax practice with the addition of Robert M. Burak, CPA. Burak has joined the firm as a partner and will lead BMF’s tax services group.

Burak is an accomplished tax professional with a diverse background that covers all facets of running a tax practice, including managing and mentoring professional teams, serving varied middle-market, Fortune 1000 companies and private equity groups. His specializations include:
• C corporation, partnership and S corporation taxation
• International taxation ranging from structuring and establishing foreign operations to repatriation of earnings
• FAS 109 and FIN 48
• Mergers and acquisitions
• Accounting methods including inventory accounting, such as LIFO and uniform cost allocation
• Compensation/earn-out structuring
Burak brings a deep knowledge base to BMF with experience serving clients in industries encompassing manufacturing, wholesale distribution, real estate and services, among others. Prior to joining BMF, Burak served for 19 years as Cleveland tax practice leader and partner for Grant Thornton, LLP, where he provided tax and advisory services to a diversified domestic and international client base. Fully responsible for managing the office’s tax practice covering northern Ohio, western Pennsylvania, West Virginia and western New York, he specialized in serving growing and emerging middle-market companies.
Burak graduated from John Carroll University in University Heights, Ohio, with a Bachelor of Science in business administration with a concentration in accounting.
