Former Head of Tax for White & Case China joins Zhong Lun
Yongjun Peter Ni joins Zhong Lun as the head of its tax practice
Zhong Lun Law Firm has announced that Yongjun Peter Ni, the former head of White & Case’s greater China tax practice, has recently joined Zhong Lun as the head of its tax practice group. Peter will focus on developing Zhong Lun’s tax practice.
Peter has been ranked as a leading individual for China tax by several international organizations for many years. Peter has more than 15 years of experience providing international tax services to MNCs and Chinese enterprises, including nine years in the US. Trained as a lawyer, he is able to provide tax advice in the proper Chinese legal context.
Peter’s practice covers all tax aspects of cross-border investments and transactions, with a focus on market entry and exit strategies, investment structuring and restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, financing, pre-IPO restructuring, transfer pricing, tax-effective supply chain management, high net worth individual tax planning, and tax dispute resolution. Peter started his legal career as a lawyer in China practicing international economic law and an assistant professor at Fudan University School of Law.
Peter graduated from Harvard Law School, New York University School of Law and Shanghai Fudan University. He is admitted in both the PRC and the US.
