Jaime Sol is new leader of Taxand’s Global Compensation service line
Taxand, the world’s largest global organisation of tax advisors to multinational businesses, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jaime Sol, as the new leader of Taxand’s Global Compensation service line. Jaime is a partner with Garrigues where he heads up the Compensation and Benefits practice area in Spain.
Jaime brings more than 15 years of experience to his new role with Taxand. Over the course of his career he has advised numerous international and Spanish companies from a range of industries on the design and implementation of compensation schemes for executives, managers and employees. Jaime works mainly with listed companies, has particular expertise working on major venture capital deals and has advised many Spanish financial entities helping them manage the transition required to meet the sector’s new remuneration obligations. Jaime started his professional career at Andersen Legal which merged with Garrigues in 1997.
Taxand’s Global Compensation team provides multinationals with an integrated service combining tax, legal, financial and human resources expertise to meet employee remuneration requirements. Tax efficient incentive plans and global tax compliance are vital if maximum value is to be achieved for employers and employees. Tax, legal and regulatory rules are increasingly complex and constantly changing. Additionally as tax authorities across the globe co-operate ever more, companies need to take even greater care to achieve compliance across borders.
Compensation is one of Taxand’s eight global service lines. Others include International Tax, Indirect Tax,Tax Litigation, Transfer Pricing, Transaction Tax, Real Estate Tax and Individual Tax.
Taxand’s policy is to review its global service line leadership every two years to ensure continuous development and Jaime has taken over from Taxand UK’s practice leader.
