Weaver appoints tax partner in Houston

Sean Muller, CPA has joined Weaver, the largest regional independent certified public accounting firm in the Southwest, as a partner in Tax and Strategic Business Services in the firm’s Houston office.

Muller brings more than 18 years experience in tax services for publicly-traded corporations and non-public entities. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings and tax compliance.

His industry experience includes real estate, oilfield services, engineering services, industrial cleaning services and distributers.

“Sean’s knowledge and strong skills associated with corporate and partnership tax makes him well-suited for Weaver,” said Tommy D. Lawler, Weaver’s managing partner and CEO. “We look forward to leveraging his experience to enhance our Houston office leadership and service offerings.”

Muller joins Weaver from Valhalla Advisors, LLP, an accounting firm in Houston where he was a partner. Previously he was with Arthur Andersen in Houston from 1992 until 2002.

Muller earned a Bachelor and Master in Professional Accounting degree from The University of Texas at Austin. Muller is a licensed CPA in the state of Texas.
