KPMG appoints John Lourenco as Head of Tax & Legal in Kazakhstan
John joined KPMG in South Africa in 2003 as a partner from Deloitte in Zimbabwe, specializing in international tax and providing corporate tax consulting to clients in various sectors. In 2005 John was appointed Head of Tax for Africa with the brief to integrate KPMG’s tax practices across this region in addition to providing first line tax services to multinationals operating in Africa.
John holds a degree in Accountancy and is a member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Zimbabwe.
KPMG has been working in Kazakhstan for fifteen years employing together over 350 people in its three offices in Almaty, Astana and Atyrau.
In the CIS, KPMG now has offices in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Krasnoyarsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Rostov-on-Don, Almaty, Astana, Atyrau, Bishkek, Donetsk, Kiev, Lviv, Yerevan and Tbilisi, employing together over 3, 000 people.
