Stibbe boosts Luxembourg offering with Linklaters head of tax hire: Paul Tulcinsky
Stibbe has announced the hiring of tax partner Paul Tulcinsky, formerly head of the tax team at Linklaters’ Luxembourg office. The move is a second boost to Stibbe’s Luxembourg tax offering in two months, following the arrival of Ayzo van Eysinga in April.
Paul, who had worked at Linklaters Luxembourg since 2002, is set to join Stibbe on 15 June. He will work alongside tax practice head Ayzo van Eysinga to develop Stibbe’s Luxembourg tax practice. This development is part of Stibbe’s strategy to become one of the key players in the Luxembourg market, after opening an office in that country in August 2010.
Paul Tulcinsky specialises in international tax law, in particular the setting up of acquisition and financing vehicles in Luxembourg. Furthermore, he advises prime banks and major corporates on their strategic organisation and structuring. Moreover, Paul is widely recognised as tax adviser of choice on complex private equity and securitisation structurings.
Commenting on this new development, Ayzo van Eysinga said, “We are thrilled to see a leading practitioner like Paul join our tax practice. His extensive experience as well as his international focus will be a major benefit to our clients.”
In 2010, Stibbe and its alliance firms Herbert Smith and Gleiss Lutz received the European Tax Firm of the Year Award from International Tax Review.
The core focus of Stibbe’s Luxembourg office is corporate, investment funds, tax, real estate, banking and finance work.
