Troy Terakedis joins the Jones Day Columbus tax practice
Jones Day announced that Troy Terakedis has joined the Columbus Office as a partner in the Tax Practice. He was formerly a Columbus partner at Calfee, Halter & Griswold.
“Troy’s arrival plays an important part in the continuing growth of our capabilities in both Ohio and throughout the broader Midwest,” said Lyle Ganske, Partner-in-Charge of Jones Day’s Midwest Region. “Our active and formidable M&A and PE practices will benefit greatly from his deep understanding of the tax aspects of dealmaking.”
Mr. Terakedis counsels clients on federal income tax matters related to partnerships, limited liability companies, and corporations, including the tax-efficient structuring of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and reorganizations. He has worked extensively with leveraged buyout, venture capital, and other private equity funds on formation issues as well as other tax-related matters.
“While Troy is widely known and highly respected in the Ohio business and legal communities, we believe that his outstanding transactional work, particularly in the private equity arena, will be of interest to clients throughout Jones Day’s global footprint,” said Columbus Office Partner-in-Charge Liza Kessler. “We’re thrilled to have him.”
