Ernst-Pieter Knüpfer appointed Senior Tax Director at Weidema van Tol

Weidema van Tol, Attorneys & Tax Advisors has announced that Ernst-Pieter Knüpfer has recently joined the firm. Mr. Knüpfer will be responsible as a Senior Tax Director for day-to-day client handling and relationship management at Weidema van Tol. He will be based in Badhoevedorp, The Netherlands, near Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport.

Mr. Knüpfer was with CITCO for almost 15 years during which he assisted clients ranging from small privately held companies to the Fortune 500. He was responsible as a Director in various disciplines including: Multinational Client Services, Marketing and Product Development for multinational corporate clients and Training and Debt Collection. He served for over 10 years as a Director on the board of CITCO Nederland B.V., a company active in the corporate and trust sector and part of the CITCO Group, a worldwide group of independent financial service providers serving hedge funds, private equity and real estate firms, institutional banks, Global 1000 companies and high net worth individuals.

Prior to joining CITCO, Mr. Knüpfer was a Company Secretary at Koning International B.V. (1996-1998), a trading company in the pet food industry that acquired several factories for which he was responsible.

Previously, Mr. Knüpfer was a tax lawyer in the international tax department at Coopers & Lybrand in Amsterdam (1990–1996) and London (1989). He is a tax law graduate at Leiden University (1988) and member of the Association of Dutch Tax Advisors.
