Rebecca Fisher joins Russell-Cooke as a Partner in the Private Client Team
Rebecca Fisher has joined Russell-Cooke as a Partner in the Private Client Team, advising families and individuals on all aspects of private client law including domestic estate planning and wills, administration of estates (including high value, multi-jurisdictional and intestate estates), trust creation and administration and Powers of Attorney. She also advises business owners and shareholders on tax efficient succession planning.
Rebecca’s experience includes:
Wills – Advising both UK and non UK residents on all aspects of will drafting and issues affecting wills. She works alongside clients to ensure that the will reflects individual needs giving clients peace of mind that their family and friends are properly protected. Rebecca has advised in relation to the creation of trusts and lifetime gifts and tax planning in order to mitigate exposure of the estate to Inheritance Tax and Capital Gains Tax.
Administration of Estates – Rebecca advises in relation to the administration of a wide variety of estates including those with assets situated in other jurisdictions. She also has experience of dealing with complex intestate estates including those requiring the use of genealogists. She has experience of business property relief and agricultural property relief and has advised executors on estates which include heritage property.
Trusts – Advising on tax efficient trust creation, declarations of trust and preparation of trust documentation, including preparing deeds of release, assignment and appointment.
Powers of Attorney – Rebecca has advised on preparing and registering Powers of Attorney, and subsequent management of clients’ affairs and drafting living wills.
Rebecca read law at Southampton University and qualified in 2005. She subsequently specialised in private client law at Morrisons Solicitors, joining Russell Cooke in August 2013.
She is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
