Scott Sontag moves from Weil Gotshal to Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison
Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP announced today that Scott M. Sontag has joined the firm as a partner in its tax department, resident in New York, where he will focus his practice on a wide range of domestic and international transactions.

Mr. Sontag is ranked as a leading Tax lawyer by Chambers USA and Legal 500 US and has been named among the leading Bankruptcy Tax Specialists in the nation’s major law firms byTurnarounds and Workouts magazine. In 2011, Investment Dealers’ Digest named Mr. Sontag to its annual “40 Under 40” list of top up-and-coming professionals in the finance industry.
Mr. Sontag earned his J.D. from New York University School of Law and his B.B.A. from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business Administration.
