Former EY Tax Partner, Erich Pugh, joins Grant Thornton in Minneapolis
Grant Thornton LLP has announced that Erich Pugh has joined the firm’s Minneapolis Tax Services practice as a partner.
Pugh has substantial experience with global income tax reporting, related financial statement disclosures, and structuring acquisitions and dispositions. His experience also spans tax accounting, federal, state and local tax, and compensation and benefits.
“Erich brings extensive knowledge and diverse experience, particularly in federal and international tax for both the public and private sectors,” said Amy Roberts, leader of Grant Thornton’s Minneapolis Tax practice. “His insights and understanding of complex tax laws and regulation, both here and internationally, will be invaluable assets to our firm and clients.”

Prior to joining Grant Thornton, Pugh served as a partner with Ernst & Young LLP. He is a certified public accountant in Minnesota and Illinois, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Throughout his career, he has been involved in numerous community and charitable organizations.
Pugh received a master’s degree in tax from the University of Minnesota and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Winona State University.
