Deloitte UK makes up 15 new tax partners

Deloitte announced a large number of partner promotions today in the UK. Of these, 15 are tax partners. Further details have been provided below about several of the new partners.

London office:

Tom Evennett

General UK personal and corporate tax planning including advice on transactions; capital gains tax planning; structuring of co-invest and carry/promote for management/principals of private equity and property funds; and advising management and entrepreneurs on tax issues relating to equity participation.

Specialties: Tax structuring of acquisitions and sales of private businesses; Employee incentive planning, share options, BVCA – HMRC Memorandum of Understanding 2003 + 1987.

Chris Horton

Dual qualified UK and US tax specialist advising individuals who require integrated cross border personal tax advice. This includes income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax and estate/gift tax. I aim to build strong relationships with my clients and their other advisors so that tax issues are considered within the context of an individuals’ wider affairs. I have a varied client portfolio with a particular focus on high net worth individuals, C-suite executives and those who operate in the world of sports and entertainment.

Stuart Twinberrow -Stuart specialises  in the design and execution of M&A structures across Europe.

Christina Chan

Scott McCormick – Scott has 16 years’ experience in consulting in mobility and reward. His current role is heading up the Data Analytics practice for International Mobility & Reward.

Diya Wilson – Diya is Co-leader of the hedge fund tax practice at Deloitte. She joined the firm aged 18 via the Andersen Scholarship Programme.

Kate Hayes

Kate has been with Deloitte for 13 years and has a focus on Financial Services, Private Equity and Private Markets.

On a day to day basis she oversees a variety of tax advisory and compliance work. Her financial services clients include investment management businesses, insurance, banks and building societies. Her private equity clients cover a variety of industry groups.

She has significant transaction expertise including tax due diligence (both vendor and purchaser) and advisory work in connection with capital restructurings, acquisitions, disposals and refinancing. This experience expands across a whole range of industries but in particular Financial Services. She also leads the tax proposition of the Financial Services Transaction Services practice across the UK regions.

In November 2011 she was awarded Deal Maker of the Year 2013 by Finance Monthly.
