Carrie A. Hardison, CPA
Partner, Tax and Strategic Business Services; Fort Worth
Carrie Hardison joined Weaver’s Fort Worth office in January 2005 and has more than 11 years of public accounting experience, including work for Big 4 firms. Hardison has been a key component in the growth of Weaver’s financial services practice in North Texas with her experience serving private equity and hedge funds. Her emphasis is in taxation compliance and planning for a variety of industries including oil and gas, financial services and manufacturing. She is currently serving on the board of Dallas/Fort Worth Association for Corporate Growth and is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA) and the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA). Hardison earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Oklahoma State University.
Lisa K. Head, CPA
Partner, Tax and Strategic Business Services; Dallas
Lisa K. Head joined Weaver in the summer of 2013 as a senior manager and has more than 10 years of experience, all of which has been exclusively focused on the unique and challenging taxation requirements of investment companies and hedge funds. Head has contributed to the rapid growth of the firm’s financial services practice, particularly in the hedge fund sector. She has concentrated experience in tax preparation, analysis and planning for a variety of companies in the investment management business. She holds a Master of Science degree in taxation and a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from The University of Texas at Arlington, and she is a member of the TSCPA, the Texas Hedge Fund Association and Texas Wall Street Women.
Jeff A. Murlette, CPA
Partner, Tax and Strategic Business Services; Dallas
Jeff Murlette joined the Dallas office in August 1994, working in both the audit and tax areas. Since then, he has been an integral part of the formalization of the wealth strategies group, specifically in the estate, gift and trust (EGT) area, where he currently serves as director of compliance. Murlette has more than 20 years of experience in public accounting, concentrating in federal tax planning and compliance for high net worth individuals and families, with an emphasis in EGT planning. He earned a Master of Science degree in accounting from the University of North Texas and a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Tech University. He is a member of the AICPA, TSCPA and the TSCPA Advanced Estate Planning Conference Committee.
