New Global Head of Tax at MSCI Inc is Robert Beynon
MSCI Inc, a leading provider of investment decision support tools to investors globally, has appointed Robert Beynon as Global Head of Tax.
Rob joins from GFI Group, where he has worked as Global Head of Tax for the past 3 years. Before this he was US Tax Director at ICAP. His earlier commercial tax career was in the UK.
Rob is a UK Chartered Accountant and a New York attorney. He has a detailed knowledge of both the US and UK tax laws as well as a good understanding of the tax laws in many other countries including Brazil, and other Asian and European financial centers.
Rob’s background is primarily corporate tax, whether federal, state and local or international, but he is a generalist and has had in depth experience in payroll taxes, sales and use taxes, executive compensation, transfer pricing and VAT among others.
Rob has built a number of corporate tax departments and is responsible for quarterly reporting and tax compliance as well as tax planning across multiple geographies. Rob is equally experienced in US GAAP and IFRS.
Rob’s career has also exposed him to many corporate transactions and he has significant experience in mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructuring. He has also had a commercial role considering the impact of corporate transactions and was the leader of the cross functional committee assessing the impact of corporate transactions.
Rob is an adjunct professor in the Masters of Tax program at Baruch College, CUNY
