David Sofra moves from PwC to KPMG (Melbourne) as Tax Partner
David Sofra has returned to KPMG Melbourne as a tax partner with effect from September 2014.
David has advised many of Australia’s largest listed national and multinational public companies in all facets of employment taxes. I have served on numerous advisory committees and panels of industry, and am currently a member of:
– Commissioner of Taxation’s ATO National Tax Liaison Group FBT Subcommittee
– Commisioner of State Revenue’s State Taxes Consultative Council
– CPA Australia’s National Indirect Taxes Committee
– Taxation Institute of Australia’s State Taxes Committee
David worked with KPMG from 2004 to 2007, leaving as a tax manager. After a year spent travelling he returned home and joined PwC, where he has worked for the past 6.5 years. He was a director at PwC, so this move is also a promotion for David.
