David Patterson is promoted to tax partner at Wellington office of Chapman Tripp
David Patterson, who resides in the Wellington office of Chapman Tripp, has been promoted to tax partner. The promotion takes effect today.
David is an internationally-recognised tax practitioner who specialises in the structuring of commercial transactions and taxation law, with a focus on corporate and international taxation. As one of New Zealand’s leading tax advisers, David has advised on the commercial and tax structuring and financing of a wide range of commercial arrangements and their negotiation and documentation.
Prior to joining Chapman Tripp as a consultant, David was with Minter Ellison Rudd Watts and was Chairman of the firm from 2004 – 2008. He is also a director of
Solid Energy New Zealand Ltd, a state owned enterprise.
Chapman Tripp is the largest legal partnership in New Zealand, with 54 partners and 180 other legal staff across offices in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
