Avila Rodriguez Hernandez Mena & Ferri LLP appoints new estate planning partner

 LLP (ARHMF), a South Florida law firm representing domestic and international businesses and investors across various practice areas, has announced the promotion of Mauricio D. Rivero to partner.

Mauricio D. Rivero focuses his practice in the areas of federal income taxation and estate planning for domestic and international clients. Mr. Rivero, who joined ARHMF as an associate in 2012, counsels clients on all aspects of international taxation, including creating tax-efficient structures for companies and individuals, sophisticated estate planning strategies, succession planning, offshore tax compliance and asset protection. He also regularly represents clients before the Internal Revenue Service and in probate proceedings.

Prior to joining ARHMF, Mr. Rivero was a private wealth and tax associate at Holland & KNight, following a ten-year tenure as a revenue agent with the Internal Revenue Service.

Mr. Rivero graduated from the Florida International University College of Law in 2005. He is a member of the Society for Trust and Estate Practitioners, the American Bar Association and the Cuban American Bar Association.
