EY LA loses transfer pricing specialist, Kevin Kiyan, to Andersen Tax
Andersen Tax has announced the hiring of Kevin Kiyan, Ph.D. as a Managing Director in the firm’s US National Tax office. Kevin’s practice will focus on transfer pricing.
Prior to Andersen Tax, Kevin was an Executive Director at EY responsible for leading the Transfer Pricing and Economics practice in Los Angeles. His practice covered all facets of transfer pricing including planning analyses, documentation, controversy, advanced pricing agreements (APAs) and IP migration, among others. He also led the firm’s transfer pricing efforts in the Engineering and Construction (E&C) industry, and used his background in systems architecture to help clients improve their transfer pricing data reporting systems and processes.
Kevin left EY once before, as a Senior Manager in 1999, when he decided to set up a B2B media company. He then built on this commercial experience working for McKesson Corp as VP Marketing Analytics for 4 years, before returning to EY in 2006.
“Kevin is a key addition to our firm as his extensive transfer pricing experience is an important component of our best-in-class client service. As we expand our footprint globally, Kevin will continue to be an excellent resource,” said CEO, Mark Vorsatz.
“Kevin’s deep background in transfer pricing, and his experience in strategic industries, including high technology, telecommunications, data/systems integration, and health care are key to our global strategy. Transfer pricing is a critical part of virtually all international tax planning,” said Ellen MacNeil, leader of US National Tax.
Kevin received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from University of California, Irvine, and his Ph.D. in Economics from New York University.
