James Cowper Kreston promotes Nicholson, Barratt and Rajah
Thames Valley accountants and business advisers James Cowper Kreston, has announced 10 promotions, including two new partners. The tax-related promotions are as follows:
Stephen Barratt (Tax Partner) has 26 years’ experience advising individuals and families on tax matters to maximise and preserve family wealth, whether it be business or non-business. This covers most areas of personal tax planning, including advising on the sale of businesses and other assets, business structures and passing assets tax-efficiently to lower generations.
He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Tax, the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, and the Agricultural Law Association.
Alex Nicholson (Tax Partner) joins the Firm in 2011 from Smith & Williamson. He is experienced in a wide range of company taxation matters, ranging from complex business restructuring projects to efficient remuneration planning.
Alex regularly works with technology businesses and is a member of the James Cowper Technology Group. He is based from the Southampton office.
Meera Rajah (Tax Director) specialises in indirect tax matters. Her experience includes film production, international cross border supply chains, complex place of supply issues, Serious non-compliance cases including investigation work, HMRC Inspections and negotiations with HMRC, Charities, Land & Property, Partial exemption, Retail Sector, VAT planning and all aspects of VAT claims and repayments.
Meera is based in the London office and also leads the South East Asia Business group at the Firm.
