Grant Thornton hires Tax Function Optimization guru, Mark Quiroz, as Managing Director
Quiroz has more than 20 years of public accounting and management consulting experience. He specializes in enhancing the operational effectiveness of corporate tax functions, and focuses on tax accounting and compliance process improvement – as well as tax sensitization of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. He also boasts experience implementing new tax processes and technology to deal with ongoing legislative and regulatory changes. Prior to joining Grant Thornton, Quiroz spent more than 10 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, where he served as management consulting director and leader in the firm’s financial services advisory practice.

Quiroz is a certified public accountant in Illinois and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a project management professional (PMP) and certified Six Sigma Green Belt. He received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Northern Illinois University.
