Jamie Fowler is the new National Managing Partner for Grant Thornton Tax Services in the US
Grant Thornton LLP has named Jamie Fowler as the national managing partner of its Tax Services practice, effective August 1. In this role, she will oversee the growth and operations of the firm’s tax-services offerings.
Fowler will serve on the firm’s Senior Leadership Team, and is assuming the role from Randy Robason, who is retiring from the firm at the end of the fiscal year, after more than 12 years in leadership roles at Grant Thornton.
Currently, Fowler serves as the managing partner of the firm’s Atlantic Coast region, which includes more than 1,500 professionals from northern Virginia to Philadelphia. She also serves as the office managing partner in metro Washington, D.C. – supervising operations in that market.
Previously, Fowler served as the Northeast region partner-in-charge of Tax and the managing partner of the firm’s National Tax Strategic Solutions group.
“Jamie has proven herself to be an impressive tax professional boasting a wealth of knowledge and a commanding track record,” said Mike McGuire, chief executive officer of Grant Thornton. “Having a leader of Jamie’s caliber will help our clients navigate a tax landscape that faces potentially sweeping changes, while also making the most of technology and innovation; she is the ideal leader to build on Randy’s many successes for our clients and our firm.”
Fowler is a certified public accountant (CPA) in Virginia, Massachusetts, New York and Texas, and serves on the Tax Division of the American Institute of CPAs. She is also a member of the Texas Society of CPAs and the Massachusetts Society of CPAs.
Fowler received a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Virginia and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Ouachita University.
