Phillippe Norre returns to KPMG to lead the Bahrain & Qatar indirect tax practices
KPMG Middle East has announced the recruitment of Philippe Norre to lead the Firm’s indirect tax practice in both Bahrain and Qatar .
Mr Norre joins from PwC London, where he has been a tax partner for the past 4 years. At PwC he was the UK and Global Indirect & Transactional Tax Compliance, Reporting and Technology Leader as well as leading the Indirect Tax team within PwC’s UK Tax Reporting & Strategy Centre of Excellence.
This is a return home for Mr Norre, who worked as a tax partner with KPMG from 2003 to 2012. He spent much of this time in the Budapest office but was also Acting Head of Indirect Taxes in the Middle East from 2008 to 2012. He therefore has a deep understanding of the region’s business environment and has advised several GCC government ministries on the development and implementation of their VAT laws and tax authority infrastructure.
