Caroline joins Crowe with more than 20 years’ experience working in tax within professional services firms, and for over a decade as a real estate tax specialist. Before her move to Crowe, Caroline held the position of partner and Head of Property at a consultancy firm, with responsibilities ranging from advising established property development groups on transactions and structures, to advising on Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) and areas of specialist tax legislation. Focusing on property tax matters, Caroline will utilise her extensive experience to provide clients with invaluable, tailored advice to help them make informed personal and business decisions.
Based in Crowe’s London office, Caroline will help cement the firm’s position as one of the leading advisors to the property and construction sector, adding value to the firm’s service offering and existing client base. Caroline will work closely with Crowe’s tax team to further enhance their leading market capability, expertise and reputation.
Caroline Fleet, Partner, Tax, said:
“I am delighted to join Crowe, and work with this great team and their clients. How property is taxed has changed extensively over the last few years and it still continues to be an area where further changes could be made. Helping clients get to grips with all of these changes, be it the impact of the Corporate Interest Restrictions rules or higher rates of SDLT and how it impacts their business, remains my passion and focus.”
Nigel Bostock, Chief Executive of Crowe, said:
“Caroline’s appointment adds significant experience and expertise to our Corporate Tax team. She will play a significant role in offering our clients market-leading services, which stay at the forefront of changes in the world of tax.
“Caroline will join Stacy Eden and Paul Fay to help develop our property practice both in London even further. With a strong industry profile as a regular speaker at a range of property tax related conferences, Caroline is well placed to add value and insights to our clients, helping them to make smart decisions to achieve their business goals.”
